Mike - Thanks for the comment. I guess when we can never underestimate the positive effect we've had on younger lgbt folks. As we move through life and our many activities - marches, rallies, dances, benefits - I sometimes wonder if anyone younger is watching, if they imagine themselves in leadership roles someday. I've learned they do watch. I've learned they do care. As I watched the rally move along the streets Oct. 11 I saw younger lgbt people surrounded by their straight friends who were as vocal and vehement as anyone about basic civil rights. That's not been my generation's experience or at least not my own experience. I saw younger gay men happily and joyfully engaged with young lesbian women, another good experience of theirs that usually did not happen for my generation for whatever reason. I guess change does happen, slowly but firmly.

I am glad that our youth have learned from us and are taking things a step further.

wish there was something like this 50 years ago when i was growing up!!! i esp like the sign , that said... jesus had two fathers..... wow!!! wish we would have gone and been part of the whole event.. ron and wayne
